CAMPING IN CWM BYCHAN Llais Ardudwy July 1993 Friday, 25th of June, year 3, 4, 5 and 6 went camping to Cwm Bychan. The weather was wonderful and everyone had fun. While in Manchester in the years 1969-70 David Glyn Williams was recognized as 'Best Vocalist'. Here are a few facts about him: 1. As a young boy, he used to yodel and play the guitar with the Gwndwn party, which is the name of his father and mother's party. His singing partner was his brother Elwyn, and the boys used to sing in the woods at the back of Maes Gwndwn, Talsarnau. Elwyn appeared on…

GREAT SNOWSTORM FEBRUARY 1982 A number of people had to spend the night in Gwrach Ynys because of the drifts on the Morfa Harlech road, on Friday night, 8 January, 1982. At one time there were ten people in the house but Sergeant Gareth Roberts from Penrhyndeudraeth and Policeman Dafydd Jones from Maentwrog was able to venture home at seven o'clock, when a four-wheel drive vehicle came to escort them.
